SilentGuard (Corded & Uncorded Earplugs)
Hearing loss is irreversible. Protection shouldn't be optional.
This step-by-step instructional video teaches users how to properly insert and wear the SilentGuard 1001A (Uncorded) and 1001A-C (Corded) disposable earplugs, part of the HearSafe Range by A&B Safety.
When used correctly, these ultra-soft PU foam earplugs deliver a Single Number Rating (SNR) of 34dB, reducing exposure to harmful noise in mining, construction, aviation, and industrial workspaces. But poor insertion or re-use can significantly reduce effectiveness, putting your team at risk.
This video covers:
How to properly roll and compress the SilentGuard earplugs
Correct insertion technique to achieve a full seal
Expansion time and fit-checking tips
Safe removal and disposal to maintain hygiene and effectiveness
The difference between the corded and non-corded models
What you’ll need:
A clean pair of SilentGuard 1001A or 1001A-C earplugs
Clean, dry hands
A quiet or designated area to practice correct insertion
The SilentGuard series is certified to AS/NZS 1270:2002, EN 352-2:2020, and ANSI S3.19-1974 standards and comes in both standard and metal-detectable corded options. Designed with a bullet shape for easy insertion and minimal ear pressure, it’s ideal for all-day wear in high-noise environments.
Please note: These earplugs are single-use only and must be discarded after each use. Do not wash or reuse. Incorrect insertion may lead to serious hearing damage.
